| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The purpose of the qualification is the training of professional counsellors, in order to improve generic skills in the field of Psychology, and secondly to train educators in the Further Education and Training phase.
Further qualification enables professional counsellors to attend to the most important educational psychological isues influencing the lives of South African Learners and communities. |

Apply principles of the reflecting practitioner 8. Organise information regarding educational-psychological issues effectively 9. Analyse and evaluate information regarding educational-psychological issues critically. 10. | CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS |
| The academic staff of the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch will be used in a manner which fits into the quality assurance system of the University. These assessors will be registered psychologists on at least a Masters level. |
