PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The (first) purpose of the qualification is to provide qualifiers with an integrated and effective Doctorate-level base of knowledge, specific skills and applied competence in the field of Quantity Surveying.

The (second) purpose of the qualification is to provide South Africa with the highest level Postgraduate able to actively participate in the construction sector of the economy.

The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is:
