| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The purpose of the qualification is;
* To provide graduate with academic and technical knowledge focused towards the chartered accounting board examination. Students successful with this diploma have other employment opportunities in the accounting profession, commerce and industry and the public sector. |

| The internal assessors are qualified University appointed staff in the various accounting disciplines.
The external assessors are selected from either external full-time academia with equivalent or higher responsibility or practising accounting professionals. |
