This interdisciplinary programme is designed to enable learners to demonstrate competencies such as: skills to plan, execute and report on innovative scientific research related to the field of Development, skills to utilise science and technology relevant to the research as well as good written communication skills.

On completion of the programme learners should be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to make deductions from the research and relate it back to the discipline

    Qualifications required:
    At least an NQF level 7 masters-degree in applicable fields
    In line with the requirements set by the University of Pretoria a degree, which is one degree higher than that for which the candidate is enrolled.

    Career experience required:
    Relevant academic and/or research experience an expertise in the field of Development
    And/or
    Relevant professional experience and expertise in particular areas of Development
