| PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION |
| The first purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifiers with specialized knowledge, specific skills and applied
competence in the field of Agronomy, that provide for continued personal intellectual growth by means of independent research,gainful economic activity and rewarding contributions to society. The second purpose of this higher qualification is to provide southern Africa with an Agronomy expert, who will have clear and continuously growing understanding of the interaction between the plants and the enviroment, based on the sound knowledge and understanding of the functional anatomy, physiology, growth, genetics, nutrition and management of field and vegetable crops, as well as the factors influencing the quality of the end product. |
