  • INTERNATIONAL COMPARABILITY
    The proposed qualification compares favourably with:
  • Diploma of Sport Development, Certificate 111 in Sport and Recreation - Victoria University in Melbourne Australia;
  • Diploma of Sport Management - Bond University in Australia.

    The biggest challenge with international comparability for the Higher Certificate in Sport Science Education is that the majority of the international institutions either offer Certificates in Sport and Exercise Science or Sports Management short courses. Most of the international sports qualifications either focus on the management, administration and business aspects of sports (Sport Management) or alternatively on the physiology, conditioning, physical fitness, and biomechanics aspects of sports (Sports Science). The two concepts (sports management and sports science) are also structured separately in some of the institutions whereas this qualification is unique and addresses both aspects to varying extents.
