| 1. Qualifiers with specialized knowledge, research skills and applied competence in a specific field of medical sciences with the aim of generating, evaluating and synthesizing information and concepts or creating responses to abstract problems that expand or redefine existing knowledge.
2. South Africa with significant numbers of responsible qualified people in specific fields of medical sciences in order to ensure that the national leadership base of innovative and knowledge-based economic and scholarly activities is widened. |
