PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to oversee teller operations, control cash holdings and run security checks. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
It is recommended that this unit standard be completed in conjunction with the unit standards to process cash requisitions for salaries and wages , control note and specie orders and clearances and transfer monies to and from the treasury.

1. End of day balances are checked as required by the bank. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. When differences are reflected in the balances, teller cash is checked according to the bank's procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. Cash is escorted to and from tellers according to the bank's procedures. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
4. Teller queries are attended to promptly and in the manner required by the bank. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
5. The teller area is secured as required by the bank. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
6. A register is kept according to the bank's policy as to the movement of cash between tellers and the treasury.

1. Teller bundles are randomly checked on a daily basis according to the bank's policy. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
2. All bundles are checked in the manner required by the bank if any suspicions are aroused. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
3. The total cash holding is checked randomly against the balance sheets as required by the bank. 


UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.

3. Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.

Therefore anyone wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution which is accredited by the relevant ETQA.

    To organise and manage oneself and one's activities responsibly and effectively when cash is escorted to and from tellers according to the bank's procedures. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO COLLECTING 
    To collect, organise and critically evaluate information when any additional steps are taken, where necessary and as required by the bank, to address the demand for or surplus of cash. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO DEMONSTRATING 
    To demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems when care is taken to ensure that cash holdings meet the estimate requirements from tellers as required by the bank.
