PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The purpose of this unit standard is to enable the recognition of potential cheat moves carried out by staff. The individual should develop the ability to recognise and investigate potential collusion situations. He/she must understand the impact on the business if cheat moves go undetected. The sub-field will benefit by minimising losses within the casino due to staff cheat moves or collusion with customers.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
  • Identify and describe potential areas for individual staff cheating.
  • Identify and describe potential areas for staff and customers to cheat as a team.
  • Describe ways of combating cheat moves.
  • Follow appropriate procedures when dealing with and reporting cheat moves.

    On completion of this unit standard the learner should be ready to develop learning in further, more complex processes related to cheating at a managerial level.
