PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners credited with this unit standard are able to describe transponder technology as it is used in vehicles. Determine the best way to open a vehicle with transponder technology. Learners will also be able to code and read a variety of transponders.

The qualifying learner is able to:

  • Read transponders.
