    Prepare for manual weed-control.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    Purpose of manual weed control is explained in terms of the effect weeds have on crop growth, access, safety, water run off, fire prevention and aesthetics. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Competition for growing space, soil water, soil air and soil nutrients.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Safe working practices and procedures are adhered to according to company policy and legal requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Equipment is inspected for serviceability and corrective action is taken in line with company specific procedures. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Corrective action includes maintenance, repairing, replacing and reporting.
