PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner credited with this unit standard will be able to wire railway signalling power supply equipment according to plans and specifications by applying signal-engineering practice. This will ensure the availability of correctly wired railway signalling power supply equipment, which contributes in part to a reliable electrical railway signalling system, safe and efficient train operations and effective rail transportation.
