PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Select appropriate kit; fit the appropriate kit to vehicle, charge the system and test installation of motor vehicle air conditioners. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Explain the operation of the basic vapour compression refrigeration system, and use hand tools and measuring instruments. ABET 4 level literacy.
