The person credited with this unit standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of the functioning of a hiring business and apply business practices towards improving the services and contribute to the profitability of the business.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Describing the functions and inter-dependence of departments in a hiring business.
  • Describing products and services offered by a hiring business.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information/documentation to protect customers of the hiring business.
  • Understanding and operating within budget guidelines.

    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in numeracy and literacy at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.

    The importance of maintaining confidentiality and security of documentation is explained in terms of its possible negative effect to the business and is described in accordance with organisation confidentiality guidelines.

    Security and confidentiality violation incidents are processed using established worksite procedures.

    Understand and operate within budget guidelines.

    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.
