    4. Safety of aircraft, passengers, contractors and ground personnel are ensured through correct channelling of all movement airside.

    1. Passengers, pilots, crew and cabin baggage are screened in accordance with relevant legislation and workplace procedures.

    2. Passengers are transferred as per workplace procedures.

    3. Checked baggage, cargo, catering, courier, express parcels and mail are handled in accordance with workplace procedures.

    4. Persons in custody and under administrative control are controlled in accordance with workplace procedures.

    5. Aircraft is protected through restriction of unauthorised access airside, threat notification and special additional inspections of aircraft.

    6. High-risk flights are dealt with in accordance with workplace procedures. 


    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
    1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the POSLEC SETA ETQA/and any other body with whom a MOU was entered into.
    2. Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard must be accredited as a provider through the POSLEC SETA ETQA/and any other body with whom a MOU was entered into by SAQA.
