PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to prepare their workstation and client for film make-up application. Learners are also able to apply fantasy make-up, character make-up and film make-up while dealing with clients in a professional manner

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Preparing the workstation for the make-up application.
  • Preparing the client for the make-up application.
  • Performing and concluding fantasy make-up and character make-up to organisational and hygienic requirements.
  • Performing and concluding the make-up to organisational and hygienic requirements.
  • Dealing with clients professionally. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners assessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence against the National Certificate in Beauty: Manicure and Pedicure or Aesthetic Consultancy or Make-up Consultancy at NQF Level 3 or equivalent. 

    UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    Make-up outcomes are created using various putties, latex and make-up such as wounds, beads, building up of facial feature and application of false lashes.
