PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard will be able to demonstrate the preparation and cutting of hair using professional scissors prepare hairdressing equipment

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Preparing the work station for a haircutting service according to organisational requirements
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hair cutting
  • Preparing to cut hair using professional cutting equipment
  • Cutting hair using appropriate cutting equipment
  • Completing follow-up actions.
