PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A learner who has achieved this unit standard will be competent in: Maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results are achieved when performing seed tests.

Equipment refers to but is not limited to microscope, mass meter, moisture ovens, cold-storage facilities, germination chambers.Components refer to, but are not limited to: magnifying lamps, lights, starter switches.
