  • ARTICULATION OPTIONS 
    Vertical:

    A person with BNSc qualification will pursue:
  • Master programme in any nursing or health related degree e g Public Health, Sociology
  • Postgraduate diploma in nursing discipline or any health related profession

    Horizontal :

    A person who exit from the programme before completing may :
  • Pursue basic life support programmes
  • Be marketable in home-based nursing, old age homes, hospice and/or any information technology 

  • MODERATION OPTIONS 
    All assessment will be moderated by internal and external assessors. The programme and qualification will be reviewed periodically by the South African Nursing Council and external assessors appointed by the Senate of the University.
    This review will include teaching and learning methodologies, assessment practice, and programme and qualifications fitness for purpose. 

    CRITERIA FOR THE REGISTRATION OF ASSESSORS 
    Registration of assessors will be in accordance with the criteria set by the following:

  • SAQA
  • CHE
  • Academic assessors from other universities in South Africa
