PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION 
The purpose of this qualification is for the graduate to apply advanced research skills to solve problems within an accountancy field together with a significant original contribution to the body of knowledge in business.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):
Learners who do not meet the minimum entry requirements may be admitted on the basis of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is applied in accordance with the RPL policy of the institution.

Entry Requirements:
The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is:
  • Master's Degree in Business Studies, Level 9.
  • Master of Technology in Business Studies, Level 9.

    This qualification consists of a research project at Level 10 worth 360 Credits.

    The qualifying learner should be able to:

    1. Engage in research of problems within the business environment.
    2. Develop new technology within business.
    3. Disseminate research findings through papers, articles and lectures.
    4. Compile and present research findings, conclusions and proposals in a properly set out thesis.
